GWO TAXONOMY FRAMEWORK, CONCEPTS, LEARNING DOMAINS,
AND LEVELS
The aim of this lesson is to familiarise participants with the GWO Taxonomy Framework with its domains and levels and the associated supporting sections to enable the participants to use it and find support and inspiration for planning, conducting and evaluating learning activities.
After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:
27) Describe the structure and the purpose of the GWO Taxonomy Framework (Knowledge, Basic level)
28) Apply the basic concepts of the GWO Taxonomy Framework when planning and conducting learning activities (Skills, Intermediate level)
29) Explain how the GWO Taxonomy supports the alignment between learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment (Knowledge, Intermediate level)
QUESTION STYLES
The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to focus their questions in relation to their intentions.
After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:
30) Apply understanding of question styles to course delivery to direct discussion in order to reach a specific taxonomic level (Skill, Intermediate level)
31) Experiment with alternate question styles to achieve outcomes (Skills, Intermediate level)
ASSESMENT
The aim of this lesson is to enable participants to understand the role and application of both formative and summative assessment in the learning process, and to understand appropriate assessment methods that support learner development, monitor progress, and evaluate achievement against defined learning objectives. Included in this, the aim is to ensure participants are able to perform participant performance (summative) assessment as part of the training delivery assessment strategy, against training aims and learning objectives and other assessment criteria.
After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:
32) Explain different assessment strategies (Knowledge, Intermediate level)
33) Describe different/multiple assessment tools (Knowledge, Basic level)
34) Distinguish between formative and summative assessment (Skills, Intermediate level)
