5.1.31 Facilitate a discussion about why this is an important aspect of training and how an instructor may respond and act on culture and cultural differences
The participants shall:
5.1.32 Engage in discussions and reflect on what cultures have shaped them as both learners and trainers
5.1.33 Share and consider implications for their own learning group
LESSON 5 – COMMUNICATION, BODY LANGUAGE
The instructor shall:
5.1.34 Explain three parts to communication: expressing, understanding, and accepting
5.1.35 Present examples of body language and interpretation. How can body language make clear the level of communication reached and how instructors can use that information to guide training
5.1.36 Facilitate discussion and connection to culture
5.1.37 Facilitate simulations and reflections on awareness of body language
5.1.38 Discuss why this is an important aspect of training
The participants shall:
5.1.39 Participate in simulations on how body language can influence meaning, understanding, and classroom environment
5.1.40 Reflect on their own common patterns and the implication that may have on their own participants
LESSON 6 – LEARNING STYLES
The instructor shall:
5.1.41 Present on learning styles including statistics, approaches, strengths and challenges in an adult training context. Focus on perceptual learning styles
5.1.42 Model incorporating different learning styles into a single lesson
The participants shall:
5.1.43 Work in small groups on designing a lesson about a particular learning style using that learning style and share
5.1.44 Discuss as a whole group the challenges and strengths of working with multiple learning styles
