5.1.67 Examine didactic models and ask participants different situations in which different models may be applicable

5.1.68 Present the GWO Taxonomy Framework

5.1.69 Pose individual assignments for defining learning objectives from a given training aim

The participants shall:

5.1.70 Reflect on their own experience as participants and which models have been the most prevalent and most successful for their own learning and teaching

5.1.71 Examine GWO Taxonomy Framework models in pairs or small groups and:

a. present a didactic model of their own choice and share their considerations in relation to the given aim

b. present their learning objectives in relation to the given aim

LESSON 13 – INSTRUCTOR PREPARATION

The instructor shall:

5.1.72 Compare and contrast teacher centred and participant centred teaching. Examine the relationship between instructor, participant, and content

5.1.73 Facilitate discussion on the instructor’s responsibility as a role model in the context of safety and the ongoing responsibility to future participants including mitigating injuries (observe, identify, intervene)

5.1.74 Guide participants through the process of developing a participant centred lesson plan supported by a dynamic risk assessment

The participants shall:

5.1.75 Discuss challenges on balancing preparation versus adaptability in terms of adult learning principles and dynamic risks

5.1.76 Discuss instructor’s responsibility to mitigate risks and how to allow students to learn from mistakes while ensuring safety and appropriate interventions

5.1.77 Develop a lesson plan for the teach back 3 with the learning objectives and criteria in mind. This lesson plan must be forwarded to the IQT trainer prior to the teach back session

The instructor’s responsibility as a role model and as such ensure participants’ safety during a raining is a recurring theme through-out the IQT module
