The instructor shall:
5.1.165 Lead a discussion about the need to evaluate oneself as an instructor to support continued personal development
5.1.166 Facilitate a short exercise addressing benefits and challenges in relation to self-evaluation
5.1.167 Support the participants in adding learnings and ideas into the learners’ logs
The participants shall:
5.1.168 Participate actively in the discussion and share their experiences about self-evaluation in different situations
5.1.169 In pairs, discuss benefits and challenges in relation to self-evaluation, and share conclusions and suggestions in the big group
5.1.170 Note personal conclusions about benefits and challenges in relation to self-evaluation as well as possible next steps for their personal development as instructors
LESSON 27 – CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
The instructor shall:
5.1.171 Present how to recognise conflict between learners and the impact it has on learning
5.1.172 Present considerations and strategies on how to mitigate conflict
5.1.173 Introduce participants to conflict theory and management
5.1.174 Facilitate discussion based on participants’ experience around conflict in a learning group
The participants shall:
5.1.175 Share experience as both an instructor and a teacher on conflict in the classroom between learners and their instructors
5.1.176 Discuss options around addressing conflict in a learning group
5.1.177 Work in small groups to solve scenarios around different types of conflict and conflict resolution theory
5.1.178 Discuss experiences with conflict in the classroom as an instructor and how they handled it
5.1.179 Participate in role play in which all participants participate as an instructor and a learner in conflict
