POINTS OF PRIDE • Piper High earned a grade of "B" from the Florida Dept. of Education in 2024, increasing 15+ points in every state- mandated testing area. Since Principal Hautigan joined Piper, school achievement has increased 150 points, and a Florida “A+” rating is just 40 points away. • For the second year in a row, Piper High’s graduation rate is 99%– the second-highest among all 29 Broward high schools. • Piper offers more than 30 Cambridge and Advanced Placement college-level courses for high-performing students. There are also five Career Pathways: Finance & Management, Pre- Engineering, Culinary Arts, Certified Medical Assistant, and Virtual Enterprise Institute. • The school’s recently-completed $20 million renovation includes schoolwide classroom and technology improvements, as well as a new media center, culinary arts facility and STEM labs. • 2024 Broward County District Champions in Varsity Football and Flag Football District; “Superior” ratings in statewide competition for Piper Band of Pride and Piper Players Thespian troupe. PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT A hallmark of Piper High School's highly-respected academic programming is the accelerated, college-level Cambridge AICE Program administered by the internationally-renowned University of Cambridge. Students who earn a Cambridge AICE International Diploma receive the highest Bright Futures Scholarship, covering four year’s tuition at any university in Florida including UF and FSU. Starting this school year, Piper is funding and sponsoring Cambridge programs for every school in its innovation zone (Banyan, Discovery, Horizon, Nob Hill, Sandpiper, Village, Welleby, Bair and Westpine). This is the only full Cambridge Innovation Zone in Broward County, and one of only a few in the U.S.
