PPC Kicks Off Fall Meeting & Leadership Conference In Atlanta The Paperboard Packaging Council 2024 Fall Meeting & Leadership Conference taking place this week through October 2 was a sold out event. Attendees are joining PPC as they celebrate their 95th anniversary at the Re- naissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, paying tribute to nearly a century of innovation, leadership, and collabo- ration within the paperboard packaging industry. PPC says it has come a long way since its founding during the Great Depression, but its guiding principles have remained the same: to grow, promote, and protect the industry while providing its dedicated members with resources to grow and thrive. Among the many sessions and speakers will be the 81st Annual North American Paperboard Packaging Competi- tion and 2024 Student Design Challenge Awards. Meanwhile, Steve Scherger, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Graphic Packaging Inter- national, will moderate a State of Our Industry Panel and Roundtable Discussion, while Abigail Sztein, Executive Di- rector of Recovered Fiber at the American Forest & Paper Association, will present an American Industry Update. Emory University Professor Jeffrey Rosensweig, will de- liver the Global and US Economy Outlook. More news from the event will be shared next week.
