FPA Names Felton As New President &CEO
Dan Felton has been named President and Chief Executive Officer for The Flexible Pack- aging Association (FPA). In his new role as President & CEO, Felton will be responsible for leading FPA’s team of professionals while growing the value of the organization and the flexible packaging in- dustry to its members, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
FINAT has announced the finalists of the Sustainability Awards 2024. The awards recognize outstanding work to advance sustainability through labeling. The 2024 edition of the competition received 28 entries in two categories: Reduction of environmental impact and Optimization of

Felton brings extensive experience in as- sociation management and public policy ad- vocacy, including coalition development and management, communications, membership growth, and strategic planning. Most recently, Felton served as Executive Director at AMER- IPEN—the American Institute for Packaging and the Environment—where he led efforts to significantly increase the organization’s mem- bership, revenue, proactive advocacy efforts, and public profile. He is particularly passion- ate about environmental, sustainability, and packaging issues and has lobbied extensively in those areas at the state and federal levels for multinational corporations, various coali- tions, and trade associations.

The winner of each category will be announced in collaboration with Packaging Europe at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Am- sterdam on November 12, 2024. Category Reduction Of Environmental Impact The 18 submissions in this category highlighted materials, technolo- gies and processes developed to minimize the environmental footprint of labels.
