The final day of the colloque o V ered the participants the choice between a visit to the Brotherton Library and attending the first afternoon of the York Book Fair, concluding with dinner in the medieval Merchant Adventurers’ Hall. Trips such as this rely on the enthusiasm and generosity of the various librarians, institutions and owners. We were all extremely appreciative of the work put in to make our week so worthwhile by those connected with all the places we visited and by the organisers, Mirjam Foot, Christopher de Hamel and Adrian Seville (with the author of this article).
