Bring it to the Heartland: Champion of Volunteers for the 2022 Grey Cup Festival We know that volunteers are critical to the success of any event, large or small, which is why SaskEnergy served as a major partner and the Champion of Volunteers for the Grey Cup Festival in November 2022. With the 109th Grey Cup being hosted in Regina on November 20, the Grey Cup Festival — themed “Bring it to the Heartland” — included numerous community events leading up to the game. The total attendance over the six days of festival activities was 210,000 and one third of the attendees travelled to Regina from outside of Saskatchewan. More than 1,000 volunteers worked tirelessly to create long-lasting memories for attendees and make the Grey Cup Festival a success. SaskEnergy has been the province’s Champion of Volunteers for more than 20 years and we are proud to support the thousands of enthusiastic people who strengthen our communities and, through their dedication, showcase the spirit of Saskatchewan.
