Anemone was also recently confirmed to hit cinemas on 3 rd Octo- ber, ensuring it will be in prime position to be part of the awards conversation ahead of the 2026 Oscars. This would also set the stage for Day-Lewis to make history if he wins an Oscar. With four Oscars for best ac- tor, he would draw level with the unsur- passed Katharine Hepburn. He’s already the only man ever to win three Best Actor Oscars, so another win in 2026 would only propel him to new heights.
