E. Tatjana Panajotović Cvetković, nerezidentna ambasadorka Republike Srbije u Gruziji, počasni konzul Srbije u Tbilisiju David (Datuna) Sirbiladže, predstavnica ambasade Srbije, kao i zvaničnici i predstavnici lokalnih vlasti i institucija.
A ir Serbia launched its first ever direct service between Belgrade and Tbilisi on 15 th June and now operates flights to the Georgian capital three times a week throughout the year — on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays – with return flights from Tbilisi operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The official send-off for the inaugural flight from Belgrade was attended by Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Aleksandra Sofronijević and Internal and Foreign Trade Minister Jagoda Lazarević, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Georgia, Air Serbia and the media. At Tbilisi International Airport, Air Serbia’s inaugural flight was ceremoniously welcomed by H.E. Tatjana Panajotović Cvetković, non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Georgia, Honorary Consul of Serbia in Tbilisi David (Datuna) Sirbiladze, representatives of the Serbian embassy and officials and representatives of local authorities and institutions. “The introduction of the Tbilisi route was preceded by a detailed market analysis, which showed that the number of passengers between Serbia and Georgia has been increasing steadily. On the other hand, passengers travelling from Europe and North America to Georgia now have the possibility to reach the Caucasus faster and more easily via Belgrade. The launch of a direct service in the month that also marks 30 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Georgia will only further strengthen the connection between the two countries,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
