5.2.5 Over-travel Limit Switches Limit Switches are located on the side of the column and used to restrict crosshead travel. Position your upper and lower travel limit switches so that they are approximately 2-3 inches above/below where your crosshead will stop during a normal test procedure. These travel limits will stop the crosshead should the crosshead come into contact with one of the limits.
