This bra is designed for the first 12 weeks after breast surgery and is made entirely with your needs in mind. Many of the over 200,000 people who have received the My Care Kit since its launch have also worn their bra during radiation treatment. Its soft and functional design ensures no pressure points and offers flexible closures to accommodate any swelling. BCNA’s wide range of articles, videos and podcasts, created alongside clinical experts and others who have experienced breast cancer, are available on the BCNA website. ADJUSTING YOUR NEW BRA AND FIT GUIDE 1. Release both shoulder straps entirely before putting on your Bra. 2. Adjust the length of each strap and the back closures according to your comfort or to accommodate any swelling you’re experiencing.
POST-SURGERY SOFT FORMS
What are soft forms? Each Post-Surgery Recovery Bra has pockets for soft forms. Soft forms are inserts placed in pockets to take the shape of a breast. Like the Post-Surgery Recovery Bra, soft forms are made with a focus on flexible sizing, have smooth edges to reduce the chance of irritation and are machine washable. Who receives them? You’ll find the soft forms inside of your My Care Kit if you’ve undergone a mastectomy. If you haven’t received soft forms in your kit and would like to, please reach out to BCNA’s Helpline on 1800 500 258. How long are they worn for? The My Care Kit soft forms are a lightweight breast form with breathable, moisture wicking fabric designed to be worn for up to 12 weeks post-surgery. After that period, a weighted prosthesis might be more suitable, depending on medical advice from your doctor.
