style development at The Park called The District, plans for which include more than 300 apartments along with retail and entertainment offerings. Entertainment and dining options will include duckpin bowling, a Southern Califor - nia-style taco stand, a brewery and beer garden with rooftop event space, a dog park and athletic fields, and an addi - tional 30,000 s/f of retail space. “For decades, The Connell Company has been a proud, committed partner to Berke- ley Heights,” said The Connell Co. executive vice president Shane Connell . “With The Park, we’re doubling down on that commitment to the local community — and the regional workforce at large — with the introduction of publicly acces - sible parkland; a mixed-use res - idential and experiential retail district; and a host of unique process Tribal Communities will be able to begin their own steel frame manufacturing business. The factory will be owned by the tribe or reserva - tion and will produce homes to be sold directly to develop - ers, dealers, other tribes or reservations, as well as the Tribe’s own housing author - ity. The factory will gener- ate precision manufactured homes and structures that are environmentally “clean”, superior in strength and quality, with a sustainable lifetime far greater than any other form of construction. The technology incorporates precise engineered design principles pioneered by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Partnership for Advancing Technol- ogy in Housing (PATH) . The superior steel framework represents an estimated 9.8% savings over wood framing. The homes use steel siding and roofing that is rated as non - combustible and is arguably one of the best materials to use

hospitality-inspired amenities that promote wellness, fitness, and the work-from-anywhere experience.” Working alongside Shane Connell, NYC-based designer David M. Amidst the chal l enges wrought by the COVID-19 crisis, the ambitious reinven - tion of The Park is an acknowl- edgment that health, wellness, and an authentic connection to nature play a dominant role in the holistic satisfaction of each of our lives. The cold-formed steel (CFS) structures can be placed on-site and ready to occupy in a matter of days. The DreamWeaver Homes system has a patent pending “Quick Seal” steel panel window shutter system solution that allows homeowners to deploy window and door protection easily and rapidly. “In addi - tion to being fire resistant, the Quick Seal panels protect the structure from the high impact of tornadoes and hurricanes,” said Blair Gilbert , founder/ CEO of DreamWeaver Homes. The factories will also pro- duce steel studs and track, trusses, and floor joists along with steel frame panels for use in multi-family and commer- cial applications on and off the reservation. This will enable the Tribe or reservation to offer a wide range of products while countering the local economic challenges. MAREJ
