Crack répète son engagement envers le Collège

(Ottawa-Vanier), Marie France Lalonde (Ot- tawa-Orléans), et Brad Duguid, ministre des Collèges et Universités, ont annoncé qu’ils aillaient travailler avec les parties prenantes pour explorer la possibilité d’une désigna- tion en vertu de la Loi sur les services en français, afin de mieux protéger le Collège d’Alfred. «Notre parti continuera de plaider pour une solution viable à long terme qui profi- tera à la communauté francophone et agri- cole», selon les candidats. Le Collège Boréal et La Cité gèrent actuel- lement le collège agricole. «Présentement, la programmation continuera l’année pro- chaine et nous avons nommé un facilita- teur pour travailler sur une solution à long terme afin d’assurer une gouvernance par et pour les francophones», selon les libé- raux. Les candidats ont rappelé que lorsque le chef conservateur, Tim Hudak, «était au pouvoir, son Parti progressiste-conserva- teur a tenté de fermer le Collège d’Alfred à deux reprises». Ils ont critiqué la candidate conservatrice dans GPR, Roxanne Villeneuve-Robertson, «qui a qualifié l’implication de la Cité et du Collège Boréal pour assurer la continuité des programmes de «solution Band-Aid», démontrant encore une fois la vision du Parti progressiste-conservateur que nos établissements franco-ontariens ne sont rien de plus que du gaspillage gouverne- mental». Jen Tessier et Cynthia Beaulieu attendaient l’autobus scolaire avec leurs enfants sur la rue Bertha à Hawkesbury mardi matin lorsqu’un chevreuil s’est approché d’eux. Mme Beaulieu a réussi à le photographier malgré le fait que la bête courait rapidement. L’animal a également été vu plus tard, traversant la rue Aberdeen, avant qu’il se cache dans une aire boisée à l’est de la rue Cameron.
