NQ Introduction to Sport and Fitness

NQ Introduction to Sport and Fitness is designed to introduce you to sport and exercise training at a basic level which will prepare you for entry to further study. You will gain practical skills and experience in a variety of sports and exercise contexts. During your course you will participate in a variety of indoor sports these may include basketball, volleyball, swimming, table tennis or short tennis. You may also have the opportunity to be introduced to some outdoor activities such as mountain biking. Fitness elements of your course may cover circuits, weight training, personal fitness improvement, nutrition and fitness testing. You must be physically fit to undertake the practical elements of this course. A PVG will be required to undertake any coaching placements/work experience which may be included in the course.

NQ Celtic Football Performance

NQ Celtic Football Performance is designed to let you train and play in the manner of a professional footballer. It will improve your technical abilities, tactical game understanding and knowledge. You will also improve and develop fitness aspects such as strength, power, flexibility, agility, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and speed. Whilst on this course you will be part of the college football team. You will be involved in competitive games with other colleges, campuses and universities on a Wednesday afternoon. You will receive weekly coaching sessions from Celtic Soccer Academy coaches. You must be physically fit to undertake the practical elements of this course. A PVG will be required to undertake any coaching placements/work experience which may be included in the course.
