Moving on to Work

Moving on to Work is aimed at young people with additional support needs who are almost ready for employment or progression into subject-specific further education courses. It is ideal if you wish to gain work and/or volunteering experience to develop skills and qualities for the workplace. In addition to placements, you will consolidate learning and prepare for future progression at college. You will attend college two days per week and it is hoped you will take part in a work or volunteering placement up to two days per week.

NQ DFN Project Search (NHS)

3 SCQF LEVEL

NQ DFN Project Search is offered by Glasgow Clyde College in partnership with Glasgow City Council Supported Employment Service and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. It is ideal if you have learning disabilities and would like to develop your employability skills. You will develop your skills at Glasgow Royal Infirmary where you will carry out work placements and attend classes. Work placements may include portering, catering, domestic and administration roles. You will also develop essential skills that will help you gain employment such as CV writing, interview techniques and working with others. You will be supported throughout the course by a college lecturer, a job coach and hospital staff. To ensure your learning is tailored to suit your own needs and goals, you will develop a Personal Learning and Support Plan.
