To establish the blocks or strips of pollen and nectar flower mix, you must sow a grass-free seed mix containing at least 6 flower species. A single species must not exceed 50% of the total seed mix by weight. As a minimum, the grass-free seed mix must include at least 2 of the following, all of which can provide pollen and nectar from late spring and over the summer months and are suitable to be grown in all regions of England: • Common knapweed

Bartholomews Cutting Herbal Ley Mixture (3/5 years)
Taking into consideration the primary objective of cutting – good amount of Hybrid ryegrass and increased the Festulolium content. It last 3/5 years – Hybrids and Festulolium persistence won’t last like the perennials. Prime objective ticked, whilst also providing additional contributions to the soil / additional minerals. Do not cut too low, otherwise you run the risk of affecting the regrowth. Self-sufficient, not needing a lot of nitrogen contributions etc due to the good amount of legumes in the mixture.
