Main putting green is a feature right in front of clubhouse. 9 LEOPARD CREEK Essentially a warm-up area and separate from National Junior Development Centre with its array of ranges and short-game areas in a fenced-off property. That is used for the Alfred Dunhill Championship and other tournaments. Excellent proximity to clubhouse and first tee, particularly the large putting green. Attractively positioned and spacious range, although only mats are available on bays. Excellent short-game area, a green for putting and a green for chipping and bunker shots. 1 PEARL VALLEY This range ticks all the boxes for a resort course. Close to clubhouse and first tee, long and spacious with ample grass bays, attractively presented, top quality balls, separate chipping and putting greens, and additional short- game green immediately before first tee. Range is framed by tall trees, and there are member bays at opposite end of range. 2 BLAIR ATHOLL Being a private club, bays are limited, in tiers for privacy. No more than 5 golfers per tier. Space to hit driver, and a selection of target greens. Excellent short-game practice area, with deep and shallow bunkers to prepare for those on the course. Attractive and spacious putting green. Everything flows accessibly from car park to first tee. 3 FANCOURT Guests and members have a choice of two ranges, one close to clubhouse and first tee of Outeniqua course, the other part of the Fancourt Academy for which you will need a golf cart to reach. They could be considered separate entities, but access is available to each. The clubhouse range has a superb short-game area, but there are no grass bays, only mats. The Montagu course has its own putting green at first tee. 4 THE LINKS AT FANCOURT A short cart ride from clubhouse. Attractive raised hitting area with limited bays. Quirky short-game area with raised greens. There is a large putting green between clubhouse and first tee. 5 STEYN CITY Mats only at range, a short cart ride from clubhouse. Extremely long range, with the Element Academy at the far end. Good short-game practice area.
6 BRYANSTON Modern facility which encompasses two of Gauteng’s leading clubfitting outlets, one the Titleist National Fitting Centre, another for other brands. Team of teaching pros on site. Top-quality mats on hitting bays. Two large putting greens and short-game green. 7 SERENGETI Long range runs parallel to 18th hole, behind the clubhouse, with bays at either end. Golf academy and fitness centre are handy. Part of the Wanna Be A Champion stable of academies, along with Fancourt and Woodhill. 8 HERMANUS Upgraded in 2024, with a new building, the range is conveniently close to
Pretoria Country Club.
