You can even buy a tub of homemade Biscotti. 2 ROYAL JOHANNESBURG Popular club professional Greg Jacobs runs a polished operation inside clubhouse with a friendly team of assistants who engage with members. Good stock and a club repair outlet. 3 MACCAUVLEI Terrific selection of hardware squeezed into this smallish shop by club pro and store owner Marthinus van Staden in a well-presented outlet for Vaal Triangle golfers. 4 BRYANSTON One of the larger on-course shops with a generous array of product. Lots of light and well-positioned for golfing traffic.
5 FANCOURT Large shop inside clubhouse with helpful staff which mostly sells a wide range of quality apparel. 6 GLENDOWER Friendly and helpful service from club pro Rudy Whitfield and his staff in a smartly presented shop at clubhouse entrance. 7 BLAIR ATHOLL Small, cosy shop on lower level of clubhouse run by golf director and PGA pro Paul Marks which sells stylish local apparel and gift items. 8 LEOPARD CREEK This opulent shop is where you can find some of the finest and most exclusive gifts for golf buddies. 9 CENTURION Busy and efficient shop where long- serving club pro, Jannes Sik, is an active presence and has club repair facilities.
BEST HALFWAY HOUSES 1 BLAIR ATHOLL Unique al fresco dining on the banks of the Crocodile River. Don’t have breakfast before teeing off. 2 LEOPARD CREEK Great catering at the back of the clubhouse which disrupts pace of play. It feels hard to leave for the tenth tee. 3 THE LINKS AT FANCOURT Simple but sensational. Beautiful remote setting in the middle of the links, with delicious food. Unusual too, like fresh tuna. A great meeting place for members offering a superb choice of meals, including freshly fried fish & chips. 5 STEYN CITY There’s no halfway house as such. Tasty food served inside or outside the clubhouse. Golfers order at first tee. 6 ATLANTIC BEACH Halfway is like being at your local coffee shop with a buzzing ambience and interesting menu. 7 BRYANSTON A proper halfway house away from the clubhouse overlooking the tenth tee with room for four groups. 4 COUNTRY CLUB JOHANNESBURG
