Welcome to our 2026 Bull Sale,
We look forward to seeing you at our 2026 bull sale. We finally got some needed moisture from the middle of May to the end of July, then nothing in August and September. The cattle did well and we got our hay inventory built back after a couple of dry years. The cattle market keeps climbing and should be as good or higher the next few years as cow herd rebuilding is really slow. The bulls are fed to keep their feet, longevity and fertility in order. No creep feed, we replaced some of the corn in their ration with oats as the winter has been so nice. The ultrasound results show they’re not carrying a lot of backfat. The videos will be on DV Auction, and you can bid on them sale day or give Vern Frey, Andrew Swanson, or any of the sale reps a call if you need one looked over. We cull our cowherd hard on udders, docility and feet. All bulls have been DNA tested for parentage and genomic enhancement. We have selected for carcass traits for years. I know many of you sell your calves off the cow or after back grounding them, but it is really important to the feed yards that finish them and market on a grid. Your calves build their own reputation and those buyers will give a premium the next year if they had good luck with them. The CAB logo will be on the bulls that qualify. Again , we will offer a top quality set of commercial yearling heifers from some of our bull customers. We will video them the day before the sale, and they will be on DV Auction. We will show the weights on the scale when we sell them, and you can take 5 head or more if you get the bid. They are Bangs vaccinated and had their pre-breeding shots, so they are ready to breed.
