There is something about having a strong feeling, a gut instinct, that is important. This is similar to when you know you have found the right house. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn’t. If it feels right, it could be a good candidate and this desire will carry you through the difficult periods. Where Do You Find Business Sellers? There are many places to find business Sellers. Below are a few of the more common examples: Aggregator Websites - There are several websites where people list their business (i.e. businessforsale/Daltons/rightbiz/etc). People can list their business on these site although most often the listing is entered by business brokers. This can be a good way to find some types of businesses but there is a lot of competition, often the best business never make the websites and you need to work with the business brokers which can be challenging (more covered on this in a later chapter). Physical Letters - This is one of the most effective methods, but it can be expensive. This method also requires a list of targets with up-to- date addresses. LinkedIn - This can be very effective if you have narrowed down your target list. Sales Navigator (LinkedIn product) can help with this and LinkedIn has some great features to help with outreach. There are many good courses on the most effective use of LinkedIn. Email - This can be effective, but people these days have so many emails coming in that often hiring a specialist email marketing company is the easiest way to use this medium. They will have the
