hopping centers through- out the Northeast re- gion are getting a facelift.
Hanover Ave. Head slightly north, where a façade renovation is already underway at the Home Depot Shopping Center on Route 59 in Nanuet, NY. Locals in Monroe can expect 12,600 s/f of new retail space at their neighborhood shopping center, Harriman Commons. Add to the list a future retail strip comprising 18,000 s/f next to Super Stop & Shop at Orange- burg Commons in Rockland County, plus development of flex/warehouse space on an adjacent six acres. Over in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, we’ve completed
renovations on a new BJ’s on Route 309 at Five Points Plaza, with plans for future expansion that will include a new junior anchor building of up to 36,051 s/f. There’s a lot happening in the Northeast, and the spruc- ing up of shopping centers throughout the region is no exception. These upgrades will transform neighborhood centers into go-to destinations for community members and businesses alike, bringing new life to the areas we call home. ties, we’re putting the spotlight on neighborhood centers, new and old, to better the shopping, living, and working experience in our communities. Take The Shoppes and Resi- dences at Renaissance Square located on Route 70 in Evesh- am, New Jersey, for example. The 112,245 s/f mixed-use center, formerly known as Tri-Towne Plaza, is slated for several major improvements in spring 2016. With the rede- velopment, five buildings con- taining 338 new luxury rental apartments will be added to the shopping center, as well as an open space park complete with jogging paths, walkways, and a pond. Further enhance- ments include new signage and other façade upgrades to the retail portion of the property, and the construction of new retail and restaurant facilities to the existing space. The addition of these luxury homes will make Renaissance Center the epitome of a prop- erty where people can work, live, and play. Mixed-use prop- erties like Renaissance have increasingly become popular for residents that love living in the suburbs, but still want the accessibility to entertainment amenities. Thi s t rend ho l ds t rue throughout the Northeast, where shopping centers are drawing not just shoppers, but residents and employees as well. In Williamstown, NJ, a former supermarket space at Williamstown Shopping Center is undergoing a façade renovation to create two new junior anchor opportunities with the potential for the development of residential buildings on an adjoining 36.42 acres. Elsewhere, shopping centers are making room for new ten- ants. We’re eager for a future retail development of approxi- mately 25,000 s/f on Route 73 and Sunbird Dr. in Marlton, NJ. Hanover can also antici- pate the retail development of 19 acres in Morris County on
