Outdoor Programs REC @ THE PARK Join our staff for a variety of organized games and activities at your local neighbourhood park. 5-9 years • Outdoor (various locations) Art Adventures NATURE ART Participants will explore their creativity as they observe the world outdoors turning big art ideas into outdoor fun. This program will allow participants to expand their creative thinking and technical art skills by using natural elements to create their masterpiece. 6-12 years • Outdoor (various locations)
SPORTBALL - PARENT AND CHILD In partnership with Sportball, this program will keep participants moving and engaged. They will be introduced to sports including soccer, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, volleyball, golf and tennis. Your child will build confidence, competence and Physical Literacy. 2-3.5 years • Southfields Community Centre PRESCHOOL DANCE 1 As an introduction to dance, this program allows participants to use music and movement to help develop coordination, balance and self-confidence in a fun group environment. Participants will be taught new techniques each week and will build towards learning a routine. This program will be offered in-person and through virtual allows participants to use music and movement while encouraging imagination and self-expression. WACKY SCIENCE Indulge the imagination and creativity of kids who love to create and discover. Little makers will explore, invent and create through hands-on experiences, science experiments and sensory play. This multi- media introductory art program will expose participants to various fine art techniques such as drawing with pencil, painting with watercolours, acrylics, sculpture techniques and so much more! 6-12 years • Caledon Centre for Recreation andWellness BASKETBALL This progression based program focuses on developing basketball skills in a non-competitive environment. KARATE Karate is a Japanese Martial Art developed for self- defense that is based on striking and blocking techniques. Participants will be taught these techniques through basic drills, prearranged partner drills, kata (prearranged forms) and sparring. 6+ years • Southfields Community Centre TAE KWON DO Tae Kwon Do is an art of self-defense that is designed to enable participants to reach their personal potential. Tae Kwon Do instructors train participants on blocks, kicks, and punches. Additional material fees apply. 6-16 years • Caledon Centre for Recreation andWellness • Southfields Community Centre STAGE KIDS The Stage Kids Program is an interactive and exploratory theatre arts program that strives to provide a fun-filled experience while focusing on self- awareness, self-confidence building, and personal poise in performance. The focus of our programs is the development of skills related to the art of drama and musical theatre. Throughout the program, our students are encouraged to explore new skills, ideas and take risks as they continue to develop their natural talents. Our workshop style classes focus on the development of the actor’s Instruments for Stage, Screen and Public Speaking Events. This program is offered in partnership with Stage Academy Theatre Association, a non-profit Drama and Musical Theatre school whose goal is to work toward fostering an appreciation of theatre as a means to build self-confidence and success in public speaking situations. 7-14 years • Albion Bolton Community Centre NEW!

They will explore a variety of dance styles includingWaltz, Rhumba, Swing and Merengue.
