Whitney I knew I wanted to be a Physiotherapist right from high school. I loved sports and thought that physiotherapy would allow me to stay connected to my passion. Having been born and raised in Lloydminster I was ready to move on and experience big city living. I moved to Saskatoon to pursue both my Bachelor’s and Master’s level degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. Upon completing my schooling I worked at a busy orthopedic clinic in Regina for 5 years which included treating athletes from Notre Dame College. After 10 years of being away I wanted to be home and moved back to Lloydminster to be with my fiancé and now husband who ranches just outside of Lloydminster. The move has been a great career choice as well, as I feel more connected with this community and the clients I treat. It’s great to be home and to be able to see family and friends more often. Throughout my career I have pursued continuing education in order to keep expanding my knowledge as a physiotherapist. I have a special interest in Functional Movement Courses and Acupuncture. Acupuncture is a unique and highly specialized tool that I often use in addition to the many other skills I have accumulated. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active whether it be in a gym over the winter, evening walks in the summer, or just working in the yard. I continue to have a passion for sports and love watching the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Blue Jays. I love to travel and if there is any chance to catch a sporting event while on holidays you can count me in! Being a part of a diverse team at Alta-Sask Wellness for the past 2 years has been very rewarding. Working alongside other highly skilled professionals daily provides me continued growth as a therapist and exceptional care for our patients. “Providing Exceptional Care for Our Patients”
