HOW WE DECOMPRESS (O

Rachel: My favorite way to relax is spending time with my two dogs — Benji and his big brother Leo. Whether we’re snuggled on the couch or out for a walk, they help me slow down and stay present. I also love planning cozy nights with friends, complete with a great playlist, snacks, and maybe even a theme. And when I need complete quiet, nothing beats a hot shower, a clean house, and crawling into bed early with a good book or something mindless to watch. Benji and Leo: My dogs are wind-down experts! Every evening like clockwork, Benji and Leo wind down with one of their favorite bone treats. It’s become such a beloved part of their nightly routine that they sprint to the laundry room door — where the treats are kept — and sit patiently (but eagerly!) waiting. Watching them settle in with their bones is the perfect reminder that sometimes the best way to relax is to savor a little treat and enjoy the moment.

absolute favorite ways to relax is simply sitting on the back deck, soaking in the sunset.

Squishmallow — it’s his ultimate wind-down spot after a long day of being a very good boy. Beenz, on the other hand, is all about blanket life; her favorite way to relax is bundling up like a tiny cinnamon roll and snoozing the day away. Suzanna: When it’s time to unwind and let go of the day’s stresses, I often turn to the simple pleasure of a captivating story, whether it’s in the form of a good book or a TV show! There’s nothing quite like cozying up in bed with a cold drink or a little snack and getting lost in the thrilling pages of an adventurous novel, or getting engrossed in a true crime documentary, or even some wonderfully terrible reality TV. These are my go-to ways to decompress and clear my mind for a restful evening! Brilynn: My favorite way to unwind depends on the season! If it is nice and warm outside, I enjoy relaxing and listening to nature. If it is cold and groggy outside, I relax by sitting on the couch, relaxing with the fireplace on, and reading a good, juicy suspense book. Bentley: The Mama’s boy of the bunch. Anywhere Mom is, he is in some shape, touching her and snoozing away. He will miss outside play time to lie inside with Mom, or be with Mom wherever she is.

Scallop and Yeti: The best way my dogs, Scallop and Yeti, relax is after a good round of zoomies. They wear each other out and then collapse, either cuddled up together or snuggled against one of us (or both, as pictured here on my back deck). Yeti squeezed himself between me and Scallop to join the evening sunset.

Kristin: When I wind down, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, working on a cross-stitch project, or planning something fun for my family. I also love quiet moments outside, soaking in nature — or chilling on the couch with my two sleepy sidekicks, Ozzy and Beenz.

Stephanie: My favorite way to relax is yoga. The classes themselves aren’t relaxing, but the feeling at the end of class — and even after — is refreshing. There’s nothing like sweating out the stress for a boost of relaxation. I also love taking evening walks to unwind after a stressful day, and one of my

Chloe: We are lucky to get a lazy picture of Chloe. She is the youngest of the bunch, extremely energetic, and obsessed with fetch! A long day of fetch wears her little body out.
