Day 10: Chicago - Flagstaff Board the overnight Southwest Chief Amtrak train and relax in your included roomette accommodation as you travel to Flagstaff, Arizona. Days 11-12: Flagstaff Arrive at Flagstaff train station late evening and transfer to your hotel. The following morning enjoy an included full day tour escorted by an experienced guide to the epic natural wonder of the Grand Canyon. Day 13: Flagstaff - Los Angeles Depart in the evening for Los Angeles and get some rest in your roomette on the overnight train which arrives the following morning. Days 14-15: Los Angeles Arrive in Los Angeles, surrounded by wide sandy beaches, deserts and mountains, there is so much to experience in this exciting city. Visit world famous Rodeo Drive, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the famous pier at Santa Monica. Days 16-18: Los Angeles - San Francisco Travel north up to San Francisco for your last train journey and arguably the most spectacular. Hug the Pacific coastline for the first part of your journey, before turning inland through the rolling hills and vineyards of Santa Ynez Valley, before arriving in San Francisco. Day 8: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City Today, you’ll take a short, morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Take a sightseeing bus tour around the city. Pass the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House, then stop in at the War Remnants Museum. Day 9: Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City This morning, head out on a daytrip to the Mekong Delta by private boat. Take a tuk-tuk tour around the villages. Eat lunch at a restaurant in the heart of the Delta and return to Ho Chi Minh City. Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Enjoy a free day in Ho Chi Minh. Days 11-12: Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh Travel by public bus through rural Vietnam and Cambodia, onto Phnom Penh. The next day, confront Cambodia’s tragic past on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Day 13: Battambang Travel by private minibus to Battambang today. Break up a long trip with a visit to Kampong Chhnang and learn about the craft of pottery making at local workshops. Day 14: Battambang - Siem Reap In the afternoon, continue to Siem Reap, arriving in the evening. Relax as you prepare for your visit to Angkor tomorrow. Days 15-16: Angkor Wat Get an early start to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat. Then, temple-hop with your guide through the Angkor complex. The next afternoon, discover the floating villages and local daily lives at Chhong Kneas on a private boat. Day 17: Siem Reap - Bangkok Travel to Bangkok today and take in this world of tuk-tuks, klong boats, and street vendors serving delicious Thai food. Day 18: Bangkok - UK Today you’ll fly back to the UK.

Days 1-3: UK - New York City Fly into New York and start your rail trip across the USA. See the colourful flashing billboards on Broadway, take in the incredible skyline from one of the amazing observation decks or sail across to the incredible sight of the Statue of Liberty. Days 4-5: New York City - Washington DC Depart from New York Penn Station on your Amtrak service to Washington DC. Explore the nation’s capital, and its historical monuments including the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, and its array of fascinating museums, many of which offer free admission. Day 6: Washington DC - Chicago Depart late afternoon for the overnight Amtrak Floridian train staying in a roomette that offers comfortable seating by day that converts to upper and lower berths at night. Days 7-9: Chicago Arrive in Chicago and soak up the city’s stunning lakefront setting, the much-loved Navy Pier and the breathtaking architecture on the Magnificent Mile.
