WINTER RACE SERIES SANTA ANA LANE SPRINT SERIES FINAL Formerly the All Victorian Sprinters Series, the series was renamed in honour of five-time Group 1 winning sprinter, Santa Ana Lane. Amassing more than $8 million in prizemoney, he won Group 1 races in NSW, SA, QLD and the Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic here at Flemington. This seven-heat series attracts the fastest winter sprinters and featured three heats up the famous Flemington straight. In 2021, the series was taken out by The Astrologist who recently performed admirably on the world stage in Dubai and Royal Ascot.
