The aluminium curtain walling not only provides a stylish façade to new buildings but also features outstanding thermal efficiency and weather resistance. “During the planning stage before the installation, one of the challenges faced by our team was the integration with the cladding system,” commented Des Long, Contracts Manager, “But we were able to come up with a design solution early on so that there were no issues on site.” Des was all praise for the logistics provided by main contractor Heron Bros. “This was a well-coordinated project from start to finish between Heron Bros and the other sub-contractors,” he said. D7ltd has evolved from the D7 division within the Fortress Sefa Group moving into newly refurbished premises in Roughfort. These premises have been specially designed to accommodate
and enhance the manufacture of the architectural glazing façade systems. D7 specialises in commercial and private glazing projects, and are approved manufacturers for Aluprof, Kawneer, Metal Technology, APS, Schüco and Comar. Aluminium fire-rate screens and doors and SBD products are also part of their portfolio. The team at D7 has over 30 years of experience in the architectural glazing industry. Projects are managed in-house from contract, estimating and drawing stages to installation.
