WATERPROOFING SYSTEM R ascor Waterproofing specialises in the design, manufacture, install and warranty of structural waterproofing ingress to filter down to the slab and find its way to the perimeter channel. Then, the channel directs the water to a sump pump
systems. The company with offices based in the United Kingdom and Ireland designed and installed two waterproofing systems for the extension and renovation of the Queen’s Management School at Riddel Hall. A RASCOtank Type B integral waterproof concrete system was installed in the basement. The system covers the design and spacing of joints with due allowance for structural requirements, the control of shrinkage and shrinkage cracks, as well as concrete placement and curing. This solution also includes the installation of the RASCOtec injection system and associated grouting when the concrete has hardened. Rascor also installed an internal type C cavity drain system, which is made up of a cuspated membrane applied to the walls and floor with a channel at the wall or floor junction. such as section elevations underneath the lecture theatres, and had to come up with a bespoke design for those details,” commented John Byrne, Technical and Sales Engineer at Rascor. “However, it was a very prestigious project, and we were delighted to work with Felix O’Hare.”
