OBITUS ENHANCES FUNERAL EXPERIENCES AT ANTRIM & NEWTOWNABBEY CREMATORIUM WITH ADVANCED BEREAVEMENT TECHNOLOGY… AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT
L eading UK bereavement tech specialists, Obitus, supplied and installed all audio-visual equipment throughout the Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium, delivering its first project in NI. The Crematorium can now offer fully- licensed music, high-definition visual tributes, accessible funeral streaming and media keepsakes, so that each family can experience a seamless, personalised funeral that reflects the memory of their loved one. The installation included a concert- grade Martin Audio sound system with recessed speakers in the ceremony room, a streaming camera overlooking the catafalque and lectern, and additional recessed speakers in the lobby and outside for larger services. Two 55” Tribute Screens were fitted, which can also show hymn lyrics for mourners. A further screen was installed in the overflow lobby to show live funeral service streams and tributes. Meanwhile, the lectern was fitted with
the Obitus touch screen system which allows Officiants the ability to have full control of a service if they wish. Services can also be fully controlled by the venue attendant in the Music Room, where Obitus has installed a monitor, speaker and easy-to-use
