GROUNDS Tree work: Pruning of maples along front drive to clubhouse. Orchard application for a variety of diseases on both foliage and fruit. Sod near barn to rear of 7 North tee.

The peaches in the orchard are beginning to come into season! A friendly reminder to please wash all fruit before eating. We have marked 2 trees for picking. The one closest to the tee is a young White Lady peach tree and it’s is on the smaller side. These are white peaches, and just ripening, so they should sit for a couple days after picking for optimal ripeness. The second tree is a Red Haven and can be located up the hillside along the fence away from the tee. Some of these may be ripe enough to eat after picking, but they may be a little firm and could sit out a day or two. By the end of the week, both trees should have nice and juicy fruit, if they last that long on the branches…happy harvesting!!
