STUDENT EXPERIENCE The School has a varied calendar of social events and activities ongoing throughout the academic year. The Student Experience and Engagement Team works with the Students’ Union to arrange bespoke events for our students. Societies are a vital part of your student experience and joining a club or society is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends. It can also give you valuable transferable skills for gaining future employment. Swansea University has over 150 societies, so there is plenty for you to choose from, including the student-run Law Society and Bar Society.
My experience at Swansea was second to none. I was fortunate to be a part of the work placement scheme and thoroughly recommend it. The teaching and support staff are incredible and I thank them for all their help and encouragement.

From day one, my lecturers were passionate, encouraging, and enthusiastic and I enjoyed every second. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support I received at Swansea. I was given some amazing opportunities, lots of which I still speak about in job interviews today (doing work experience in Botswana will always be a highlight). My lecturers believed in me and gave me the push I needed to start my career and I will always be grateful for that.
