Mozambique Mozambique is located in the South-eastern part of Africa and bordered by South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The most distinctive features of Mozambique as an investment destination are its strategic location in Southern Africa, the availability of large reserves of natural resources, including natural gas reserves, coal and minerals (gold, precious stones, among others) and its open and friendly environment for domestic and foreign direct investment. Mozambique’s legal system is based on civil law and legislation is the primary source of law, derived from its Portuguese colonial past.
