Nigeria Nigeria is the most populous nation in Africa and surpassed South Africa as the continent’s largest economy in 2015. Common law, customary law and Islamic Law (the latter two sources being used primarily to determine social and family issues/disputes) are the foundations of its legal framework and the Supreme Court of Nigeria is the highest court in the land.
