HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
Valentine’s Day is a day recognized in many countries as a time to celebrate kindness, friendship, and appreciation for the people around us. Whether it’s a kind word, a smile, or a small gesture, it’s a great reminder to share positivity at work and beyond. Wishing everyone a happy Valentine’s Day!
HAPPY PRESIDENTS’ DAY
Presidents’ Day is observed on the third Monday of February and honors the leadership and legacy of the Presidents of the United States. Originally established to recognize George Washington’s birthday, the holiday has grown to celebrate the contributions of all U.S. presidents. It’s a great moment to reflect on leadership, service, and the values that continue to shape our country. We hope you enjoy the long weekend and take time to relax, recharge, or spend time with family and friends.
What Is Preventive Care?
Preventive care includes a variety of health care services focused on helping you maintain good health. Regular medical care focuses on treating illness, while preventive care aims to keep you from geting sick in the first place. Most health plans must cover a set of preventive services at no cost to you. These services include the following:
Annual checkups
Lab tests
Health screenings
Immunizations
Counseling
Your health plan may charge a fee if you receive services from an out-of-network provider or if the preventive service is not the primary purpose of your o ffi ce visit.
Why am I being charged a fee for preventive care?
Practice Preventive Care
When preventive care is combined with leading an overall healthy lifestyle, you can significantly increase your chances of avoiding chronic conditions in the first place. Consider the following tips for practicing preventive care:
Eat a balanced diet.
Schedule a general checkup.
Exercise regularly.
Avoid excessive alcohol and tobacco use.
Ensure you’re up to date on vaccinations.
Get screened as recommended.
With preventive care, you and your family could catch signs of health issues before they become more serious. Don’t wait until it’s too late—contact your doctor today to discuss your preventive care options.
