CWGO: Career Women’s Golf Organization
The CWGO has had a host of fun activities this summer and is looking forward to some fun fall golf events with, hopefully, beautiful, cooler weather! We recently held our Nine Wine and Dine Scramble Tournament with our sister organizations, the Women’s 9 Hole and the Women’s 18 Hole Groups. The weather held up for us and a great time was had by all, followed by a rousing session of karaoke. Our winner was the team of Natalie Foley, Nancy Barnett, Kathryn Grant and Susan Ervin. Thank you to Claudia Cavanaugh for organizing and emceeing such a great event for us. The CWGO also recently held its Member-Member tournament. Congratulations to the duo of Tina Gwilliam and Bev Winston who were are first flight gross winners and Emily McGee and Laura Hofer who were our second flight gross winners. Congratulations also to 4 four of our CWGO members, Gwen House, Pam Quinn, Susan Walthall and Jill Van Tine, who won 1st low net in the WDCGA Anniversary tournament at Kenwood Country Club. Future events include our MJ Major tournament on Saturday, October 19 at Fairfax. This will be an individual flighted Stableford tournament and members of all abilities are welcome! To sign up please click here . Also, please save the date for our year end dinner on November 6th at which we will recap the year and cele- brate new and old friendships. We regret to tell you that due to bad weather and the start of school, we were unable to reschedule the Member-Junior Scramble for this year. We are sorry to the kids and families who were counting on this! We will regroup next season and hope for better weather.
