Every year for the past thirty three years, we have sold a fancy set of replacement heifers we have purchased from our bull customers. They have been on a grower ration since weaning and are developed for maximum conception rates. They have also been on an extensive vaccination program, including breeding shots. Dr. Jeff Erquiaga will check them one week before the sale for reproductive soundness. This year they are from three long time customers. In group one, there are one hundred of the top cut of Sam Stoddard heifers. They are the kind, very even, and hand-picked with one brand weighing 805 pounds and are on a Vigortone high phos mineral program. Buyers can take five or more up to one hundred head. Group two is big and gentle, sixty heifers weighing 900 pounds and ready to breed. Group three are April-born moderate heifers from Gifford Lue and will make a moderate-framed cow, perfect to breed in May or June.
They will be sorted to suit the buyer and will sell five or more in numerical order. The heifers are weighing eight hundred and fifty pounds and are ready to breed! As always, we will give a straw of semen from eligible bulls for each female purchased in our sale from our bull battery.
