Human Resources • Provide strategic leadership to the Essentia Head of Workforce ensuring that Essentia workforce practice is consistent with Trust policies, procedures and standards. • Lead and promote the activities of the Essentia Academy and the apprenticeship programme to ensure Essentia staff benefit from training, development and improvement opportunities, and to ensure the application of innovative practice in apprenticeships is adopted Trust-wide. • Drive proactive management of statutory and mandatory training, objective setting, PDRs and equal opportunities for all • Champion staff well-being and effective management of sickness absence. • Lead on developing and promoting talent management at all levels in Essentia. Team Management • Ensure that team structures and individuals employed within performance and improvement are organised to achieve maximum effectiveness in delivering Essentia objectives. • Develop and lead a team that will drive and support high performing business performance based on sound and relevant data. • Ensure that an effective performance management system operates for individuals at all levels. • Ensure that staff are effectively managed and developed within a performance appraisal framework including personal development plans, to ensure an efficient, engaged and highly motivated workforce. • Ensure that all staff within the performance and improvement comply with Trust and Essentia policies and procedures. • Ensure staff managed comply with all mandatory training and encourage optimal completion of Trust/NHS staff surveys.
