Prepare data analysis and reports as required across the full range of the University Estate on key indicators (including utilisation) that are easily understandable, clear and concise. • Responsibility for the procurement and leadership of outsourced property management consultants • Liaise with the university’s landlords and tenants on property and tenancy matters. • To advise on the arrangements for properties leased from the university and conduct relevant discussions with its tenants and prospective tenants. • To manage effective rent reviews and breaks across the estate. • Lead specialist on all aspects of property contract matters with responsibility for interpreting legislative requirements. • To identify and deliver opportunities to maximise commercial income and receipts from property assets. • To liaise directly with the university’s

General • To contribute towards the development of an integrated directorate and lead and develop a service that instils customer excellence that will best enable the directorate to support the delivery of the university’s core activities and meet clearly the identified needs of its customers. • Work with and assist other directorate staff in formulating policies, managing the estate and ensuring a physical environment which is safe, attractive and fit for purpose. • Ensure continuous and business process improvement, ensure local compliance with health and safety legislation, ensure the appraisal of staff in accordance with agreed procedures, ensure appropriate staff development programmes are implemented, and communicate with staff on a regular basis. • Contribute towards the development and enhancement of the directorate’s presence on the university website. in the development of a strategic asset management plan (SAMP) that supports and identifies key requirements to deliver on the
University Estates Strategy 2030. • To lead on the development and implementation of a property database/ terrier.
