Experience Essential • Previous experience in space planning • Property and asset management experience. • Previous expeinerc managing leases and licences/legal property matters. • Previous experience of space utilisation surveys and audits • Previous experience of developing and implementing space standards • Previous experience of operating Space Management databases • Previous success in managing change, and developing networks of stakeholders to support this process • An understanding of building constraints and regulations in relation to both modern and heritage environments Desirable • Previous experience of the Higher Education sector • Experience of producing feasibility studies, option appraisals and business cases for consideration at a senior level Skills Essential • Ability to read, understand, and explain architectural floor plans • Excellent CAD skills • A sound knowledge and understanding of BIM • Knowledge of relevant regulations such as Health & Safety • Ability to analyse and interpret space data and statistics • An ability to build strong working relationships with senior staff and to be a key team player • Able to influence and champion change

• Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and excel at collaborative working • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy and developing portfolio • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Able to work effectively with a range of IT software • Report writing skills • Effective presentation skills Desirable • Experience of supporting software packages such as Revit and Sketch-up. • Proficient in the use of Project and Programme tools such as MS Project. • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating negotiation, advocacy and communication strengths • An up to date knowledge of current construction trends and legislation • An attitude that is open and honest and be able to embrace and lead a “no surprises culture” Qualifications Essential • Educated to degree level and post graduate qualification in construction/ project management or similar discipline Desirable • Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g. RICS, APM, IWFM, RIBA)
