Programs and Services "When Have Dreams had to shut down during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, program staff shifted LIFE SCILS - COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAM
strategies to support our participants while they were at home. We created a Google classroom to upload visual supports and directions for parents to use with various projects and activities. We uploaded videos of the staff modeling the activities so their child could follow along. Staff volunteered their time to host structured Zoom video classes for each after-school program and multiple Zoom calls for our adult programs. We also set up a forum where participants could share videos and pictures of things they were doing with their families. For our employment programs, we digitized our curriculum and made it interactive so our participants could continue to develop and sustain their job skills with typing games, practice interviews and social games." — Program Director Andrea Franckowiak on Have Dreams reimagined programs and services during Covid-19
