EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 2

and then years, she didn’t see an advancement. But through it all, she never gave up. “I’ve just missed this advancement more times than I can count,” Kellee says. “So for anyone out there who’s questioning if they are capable of this or if they should keep going, the answer is yes ! Setbacks happen to every single business. It’s worth never giving up. It’s worth never letting go, because it all works out in the end.” When things got hard, Kellee took a serious look at what was happening. “There were plenty of excuses to stop. But that’s all they were—excuses,” she says. “Our brains are there to protect us, so when things don’t go our way, our brains tell us, ‘Don’t do that. It doesn’t feel good.’ But that’s just emotion. It’s not the reality. What is the reality? We have a business that is sustainable. With a Melaleuca business, if you do the Seven Critical Business- Building Activities, you can win. So when I pulled away the emotion and looked at it from a purely logical perspective, it meant that I had to just keep going.” Kellee is also quick to acknowledge that you can’t do it alone. “There are so many people on my team and in Melaleuca as a whole who have supported me and who never gave up on me,” she says. “And I just can’t thank those people enough for that. All the people on my team had an impact on helping me achieve this, and that just makes it even more special.” MH

When Kellee was first introduced to Melaleuca, she had no desire to build a business. “I was a busy mom who was working a very demanding corporate job, and Melaleuca meant that I didn’t have to take the kids to Target,” she explains. “I loved the idea of getting the toxins out of my home, so I was attracted to Melaleuca solely for the products and the convenience.” Kellee had been a happy customer for over a year when things began to shift in her life. She had both a toddler and a newborn at home, so she wanted to focus more on being a mom. “That’s when I called my enroller, Executive Director 9 Stacy Fiske,” Kellee recalls. “I said, ‘I know I told you I didn’t want to do this, but do you think Melaleuca is flexible enough to fit into my schedule?’ And Stacy said, ‘Absolutely!’” Stacy helped her get started, and Kellee embraced the Mission Statement. “I loved being able to help change lives,” she says. “Seeing the light in someone’s face when they talk about how the products have helped and seeing how excited they get is more rewarding than the paychecks.” After Kellee reached Executive Director, however, a series of devastating personal setbacks rocked her world, and for months

“When I look at 2021 and all of the families we get to team up with and help to change their lives, I see huge opportunities,” Kellee says. “We’re just
