Failure is going to happen in some form or another. It’s inevitable. The sooner you realize that, the easier it is to fight it. This is the hardest sacrifice of them all. Dedicating so much time to the work you do means that holding onto friends becomes a challenge. Some friends will be detrimental to your mission, and you’ll have to let them go. But family is a different story. Family is essential because they’ll be there for you through everything. It’s about finding balance. At the end of a long day, go home and spend time with your family — you’re going to need their support. However, be ready to stay up until the early morning hours to make up for that time. Occasionally, you’ll have to choose your work over spending time with your family. Are you prepared to make that sacrifice? The price of great success is higher than most people can afford. But if your dreams are waiting for you on the other side of that success, then don’t hesitate about the risks it takes to get there.
