G et those smiles ready! The Cover Kid Event returns on Saturday, August 8, at the Renaissance Hotel, bringing another day of adorable photos, big confidence boosts, and unforgettable family memories. This year, we’re excited to make the event even more inclusive with the addition of a dedicated Sensory-Friendly Hour. Designed for children who may benefit from a calmer environment, this special hour features reduced lighting, quieter surroundings, and less overall stimulation, creating a more comfortable ex- perience for children with sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, or anyone who simply thrives in a quieter setting. Families can still reserve Quiet Time sessions at 9:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 10 a.m., giving every
child the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the event in a way that best fits their needs. Once the Sensory-Friendly Hour wraps up, the fun continues with all the excitement fami- lies have come to love. Whether your child loves the spotlight or needs a little encouragement to smile for the camera, The Cover Kid Event is all about celebrating every personality and every stage of childhood. New this year, families also won’t have to wait around for callback announcements. Instead of holding callbacks during the event, our judges will make the Cover Kid selections after the event, and a special announcement revealing this year’s Cover Kids will be shared the follow- ing week. That means families are free to enjoy the event and head out whenever they’re ready.
Over the years, The Cover Kid Event has be- come a favorite tradition for Baton Rouge fami- lies. It’s a chance to capture a special milestone, build confidence, make lasting memories, and maybe even see your little one featured in the pages of Baton Rouge Parents Magazine. Most importantly, it’s a day dedicated to celebrating children exactly as they are. Sensory-Friendly Hour tickets are limited, so be sure to reserve your preferred time early.
