CAREER MAPPING CHECKLISTS

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

At Wohlsen, we are committed to helping all our team members professionally develop and we have created a tool to help guide the process.

The “career map checklist” was created to define the skills and knowledge necessary to move to the next role in your career or to “get better every day” and continuously improve your skills.

The career paths include the role of the Project Engineer, Project Manager, Field Engineer, Superintendent and MEP Field Coordinators.

How to Use the Career Map

Team Member

▪ Meet with your manager 1-1, and review the checklist to determine what training, skills, or knowledge you need to acquire for your development. ▪ Check back regularly to communicate with your manager and ask for support in any areas of development. ▪ Reach out to the Director of Learning and Development if you need guidance on where/when trainings are available internally or outside of Wohlsen.

Manager

▪ Give constructive feedback to your team member during your 1-1’s and in their annual review about what areas of development you think they need. ▪ Review the checklist for their role and highlight the areas of focus. ▪ Determine the steps necessary for the team member to achieve their goals and provide support continuously as they develop new skills. ▪ Reach out to the Director of Learning and Development if you need suggestions on how you can support this process.

▪ Celebrate and acknowledge their successes along the way!
