DUES AND ELIGIBILITY

Dues Annual dues are $100.00 plus handicap fees. Dues for existing members are charged in January. If you no longer want to be a part of the 18-Hole Association, we ask that you please notify Mindy Blumetti (mblumetti@wilmingtoncc.com) in Accounting. If a member chooses to resign after her dues have been paid but before the golf season begins (April 1), she must notify the Club prior to March 31 for reimbursement. New members who choose to join between January 1 and July 1 will be charged the full annual amount. New members who join after July 1 will be charged one-half the annual dues, regardless of their start date.

Dues pay for prizes in weekly events and prizes in major tournaments. Dues do not cover cart fees for any events.

Eligibility New Membership in the Association is limited to women golfing members of WCC 18 years of age or older who have a Handicap Index of 40.4 or better. Wilmington Country Club Senior Social Members and Non-Resident Members are not eligible for membership in the Women’s 18-Hole Golf Association, and they may not compete in any Women’s 18- Hole Golf Association Event.

Maximum Hole Score for Handicap Purposes The maximum hole score for each player will be limited to a Net Double Bogey calculated as follows:

Double Bogey + the handicap strokes a player receives based on her handicap for the course being played.

Scoring a Hole Not Finished If a hole is started but not completed, a score that the player most likely would have made is recorded. That score may not exceed the maximum score of Net Double Bogey (see definition above) and it is preceded by an “x.” Adjusting a Hole Not Played For an 18-hole score to be acceptable for handicap purposes, a minimum of 10 holes must be played. When a player plays 10-17 holes, a Score Differential is created based on the holes played, and the player’s expected Score Differential for the number of remaining holes not played is added to that value to produce an 18-hole Score Differential. When a player plays between 10-17 holes, they are required to post their scores hole-by-hole so the appropriate Score Differential can be calculated from the holes that were played to combine with the expected score for the holes not played.

For a 9-hole score to be acceptable for handicap purposes, all 9 holes must be played. If a player has not played at least 9 holes, the score is not acceptable for handicap purposes.
