In 2021, despite the impact of Covid-19 lockdowns, the shooting team completed all six rounds of the CSS shooting circuit, the Otago Boys’ High School sports exchange, a round of the Southern Intercollegiate competition, the SISS Championships, NISS Championships and the NZSS Championships. In the CSS competition, the College Senior Team won the Points Score competition in four of the six rounds and won the CSS Points Teams Cup at the end of the season. Henry Lassen won the CSS Crafts/Wright Cup for the highest overall season score in DTL, with an impressive 350/360 points. George Helmore and Tom Macdonald were close behind with 346/360 and 345/360, respectively. On 15 June 2021, the College senior team of Tom, Harry, George, Henry, Maurice, Digby, and Charlie won a close competition in the sports exchange with OBHS, with 516/550 to 508/550 for OBHS. The SISS Championships were held in Timaru on 10 July 2021, with 184 competitors from more than 30 schools. The 10-strong College team achieved some great results, including Charlie Burdon’s High Over All (HOA) for the 2021 SISS Skeet; the Skeet team of Tom and Henry gaining 2nd in the SI Skeet Teams event and a close 2nd in the Points Teams for the Senior Team. The NI and NZSS Championships were held from 2–3 October 2021, with 357 competitors. Covid-19 restrictions forced the NZCTA to run the championships from five sites rather than the planned central location in Hamilton, with Auckland schools able to complete their
