section by mid-December. In the NISS Championships, the senior points team of Tom, Harry, Henry, George, and William came second by just two points, with 280/300. Henry was 10th in single barrel event. Tom, George, and Henry were selected for the five-person Canterbury team to compete against other regions, with Canterbury finishing first. In the NZSS Championships, the senior points team of Tom, Harry, Henry, George, and William won the open points team championship with 357/375 and the College Colts points team of Charlie, Digby, Maurice, Hugo, and Kieran achieved an impressive 5th= with 350/375. Other highlights included Tom’s 3rd in the single rise (SR) event and 4th in the NZ Single Rise Trophy; Henry’s 3rd in points score, George’s 6th in single barrel and Hugo’s 7th in the junior SR. College continues to be competitive in the skeet discipline, with Henry Lassen narrowly missing out on the CSS season overall highest skeet score and College students regularly finishing in top places in various competitions through the year.

Outside the SS competition, Henry was selected for the SI Junior Skeet team to compete against the NI, with Tom named reserve. In November, Henry Lassen and Harry Trolove were selected for the NZ Junior Skeet team and competed in a postal shoot competition against the Australian Junior Skeet team. Throughout the year, College shooters also competed in non-school events, including clubs, provincial and district championships. These NZCTA competitions are by grade and include junior (under-18) categories. Several College shooters won championship awards at provincial and district level, including Tom, Henry, Digby, and Harry. INTERHOUSE SHOOTING COMPETITION The Interhouse Shooting Competition was held at Waihora on 7 November. Rolleston, Flower’s, School, Harper, Richards, Jacobs, and Somes entered teams. The competition included single rise and points score events, with House

team results calculated from the best four points score results for each House.
