a strong defensive play against St Andrew’s College, with the team holding its half-time 19–0 score till the end of the match; the boys entering via the players’ tunnel to play on the prestigious CFC Field 1, and the one win against CBHS Blue. College started Term 3 with a 25–19 loss to CBHS Blue, cutting College out of the semi-finals. This was followed up by the best game of the season against St Andrew’s College. Most of the game was played in the opposition half, leading College to a winning position by half-time. This was clawed back by St Andrew’s College towards the end of the game. However, in the last minute, Seb Hailey scored the winning try, clinching an emotional 24–22 win. The season ended with 5th and 6th play-off against CBHS Blue in stormy conditions, resulting in a half-time 7–5 win to College after play ended early due to the conditions. During this season, the boys trained well, developed as individuals, and
learnt how to fit into a wider team. College had limited success as an underweight team, with some comparatively smaller boys than other teams in the grade. However, in all instances, College played very competitive matches, often losing by a small margin, such as one or two tries.
